Public Health Nurse

Full-time

Mon- Fri

Performs registered nursing duties as established by policies and procedures set forth by the USDA/Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, the Family Case Management (FCM) program, the Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes Reporting System (APORS) Program, Genetics, Immunizations, the Lead Program, Communicable Disease Program, and the State of Illinois. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse license,

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Preferred: current CPR certification, phlebotomy skills

     

    Family Services Program Specialist

    Full-time

    Mon- Fri

    Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around program event need and families served.

     

    Manages purchasing and inventory for The Family Resource Center of Effingham County.  Creates a yearly marketing plan for program recruitment and community engagement, as well as assisting in establishing a positive community and social media presence.   Serves Family Advocacy Center families in a variety of programming, including but not limited to, Nurturing Families Curriculum model, Anger Management facilitation, general counseling and case management, and resource connections for family needs.

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood, Family and Social Services, Family and Consumer Sciences or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with young children and/or parents.
  • Experience working with at risk populations preferred.
  • National Family Support Network Quality for Family Training and Support Certification (may be acquired after hire).
  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Oral and written fluency required.
