Environmental Health

The Department of Environmental Health (EH) enhances the quality of life by protecting public health and safeguarding environmental quality, educating the public to increase environmental awareness, and implementing and enforcing local, state, and federal environmental laws.

The goal of the Environmental Health Program is to reduce the incidence of disease and injury related to environmental factors. Department activities include program administration, inspections, plan reviews, issuing of permits, and enforcement of state statutes pertaining to environmental health.
