Position Title: Public Health Nurse
Department: Maternal Child Health (MCH), Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and Family Case Management (FCM) programs
Reports to: Maternal Child Health Coordinator
Performs nursing duties as a Certified Health Professional that follows established policies and procedures set forth by the USDA/ Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, Family Case Management (FCM) program, Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes Reporting System (APORS), Genetics, Immunizations, and the State of Illinois. Also includes clinical nurse duties as needed such as lab draws and STI testing.
IL professional licensed registered nurse
Experience or course work in maternal and child health, maternal and child nutrition, lactation, nutrition assessment and nutrition education. Experience in phlebotomy preferred.
Computer knowledge, keyboarding/typing skills.
Valid Illinois driver’s license
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers.
Normal working hours: Mon-Friday
Notable(s): Occasional travel required
